Langkah Praktikal Memperbaiki Diri (Islahun Nafs)

this actually is quite a powerful driving force that helps me change. i even wrote this on a piece of paper (using the same colors and almost the same fonts as this post, but without the explanations) and stick it on ‘the Wall of Change’ beside my desk (together with my July 2010: the Change poster, jadual mutaba’ah amal and the Challenges (I will talk about this later insyaAllah)) , where i constantly look at everyday, reminding me of the change i’ve made, and will make insyaAllah; and stay strong with it.

ISLAHUN NAFS

1) MUKASYAFAH

-memeriksa diri dan berterus-terang dengan dirinya sendiri

-menentukan ubat bagi penyakit imannya, muamalatnya dan akhlaknya

-memeriksa anggota secara khusus samada istiqamah dan baik atau sebaliknya

2) MUAHADAH

-membuat perjanjian dengan Allah untuk meniggalkan dosa

-berjanji dengan Allah untuk memperbaiki keaiban dan penyakit-penyakitnya

3) MURAQABAH

-merasa diawasi Allah sepanjang masa, di mana-mana

4) MUJAHADAH

-menentang hawa nafsu

-memutuskan nafsu dari adat-adat kebiasaan

-memberi keperluan-keperluan yang penting

-memimpin kepada ketaatan kepada Allah

-tidak memberi peluang nafsu menarik ke belakang

5) MUHASABAH

-menghitung dirinya atas segala perbuatan dan diamnya

-supaya tidak berada lama dalam kelalaian/kemaksiatan/perkara yang mengeraskan hati
